Friday Fuel: Healthier Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Using a few healthier swaps, you’ll love this version of your fave sweet treat. Whip up a batch to have as an mid-morning snack or an after dinner dessert. They’re delicious!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup plain flour (or GF flour)
1 cup almond flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder or cacao powder
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
1/4 cup melted butter or coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c (80g) white choc, chopped
Sea salt, extra
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or 325 Convection). Place dry ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine. Add in remaining ingredients (except for choc) and stir until a dough forms. Fold through the chocolate. Roll heaped tablespoons of the mixture into balls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Press down on each cookie lightly and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-15 mins or until cooked through. Makes 8.
